A Worthwhile Start-up Part 1- Decision Time

We all at some juncture in lives wonder what it would be like to strike out on our own and follow personal interests in order to create an income. Problem is so few of us ever act on it that when we see someone who has managed to do it and succeeded that we are amazed.

Sometimes small and boring can be the answer.
Starting up without a fancy business model and instead developing a product or service that you could use in regards to your personal interest can help you think big picture in that it allows you to see past all the objections and figure out what works for you instead of what works for everyone else. Think of it as very in depth primary research with an ends aimed at finding a niche market made up of likeminded people.

Remember to work slowly.
When the time comes to start thinking deliberately about all the barriers and legitimate concerns that stand between you and a profit its likely you will have already stumbled across numerous creative ways to get around them. You should be able to say that you’ve spent enough time developing your product or service that you already know where improvement is necessary to be undertaken and what it is exactly you can sacrifice.
